Sad News for Our EU and Northern Ireland Customers: A Message from San Rocco Italia

At San Rocco Italia, we’ve always taken pride in bringing you beautifully crafted, high-quality products. Whether it’s our Italian leather bags, elegant accessories, or unique home goods, each item is a testament to our passion for craftsmanship and dedication to our customers.

Unfortunately, today we have some sad news to share with our customers in the EU and Northern Ireland.

The New GPSR Regulations

Starting 13 December 2024, new General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) will come into effect across the EU and Northern Ireland. These regulations aim to enhance consumer safety but come with significant requirements for businesses like ours.

Under the new rules, all products sold must meet stringent requirements, including:

• Extensive labelling.
• Detailed record-keeping.
• Comprehensive hazard testing for each product.

While we wholeheartedly support efforts to improve product safety, the reality is that these measures are expensive and time-consuming, especially for small businesses. With hundreds of items in our catalogue, complying with these regulations is simply beyond our current capacity.

What This Means for You

As a result, we will no longer be able to ship many of our products to the EU and Northern Ireland after 12 December 2024.

This is a decision we’ve made with a heavy heart, knowing how much our products mean to our customers in these regions. You can still place orders until 12 December, so if you’ve had your eye on something, now is the time to shop.

Looking Ahead

We hope that in the future, these regulations may be revised to better support small businesses like ours. If this happens, we would love nothing more than to resume serving our wonderful customers in the EU and Northern Ireland.

In the meantime, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for all the support you’ve shown us over the years. Whether it’s a leather bag that became your daily companion or a thoughtful gift you shared with a loved one, we’re honoured to have been part of your lives.
