Wrap yourself in luxury and sustainability with our White Gauze Stripe Linen Scarf.

Introducing our White Gauze Stripe Linen Wrap - the perfect accessory for any season. Whether you wear it as a light summer shawl or an autumn scarf, this versatile linen scarf wrap is sure to become a staple in your wardrobe.

Handwoven to perfection and finished with a raw, eyelash fringe, this ivory linen shawl comes in three beautiful stripe color choices. At 78" x 28", it's large enough to drape comfortably over your shoulders or wrap around your neck for a cozy, stylish look.

Linen is a luxury textile that is both durable and sustainable. Our linen scarf is made from 100% linen, which is one of the oldest and strongest fibers in the world. Unlike other fabrics, linen is not elastic, making it difficult to weave with. But the end result is a natural, textured fabric that will last a lifetime.

Handmade with love in Ethiopia, each linen scarf is a work of art and truly one-of-a-kind. And with its easy care instructions - simply machine wash in cold water, hang dry, and iron - you'll be able to enjoy this beautiful accessory for years to come.

This is an ethically-sourced product

Artisan Profile

Sabahar is dedicated to providing respectful, ethical, and sustainable work opportunities for Ethiopian artisans while showcasing the talents of their weavers to the world. Drawing inspiration from the ancient weaving traditions of Ethiopia, Sabahar creates exquisite textiles using only natural fibers, preserving the rare beauty of handspun thread in an increasingly mechanized world.

Sabahar's commitment to traditional methods is evident in every step of their production process, which is entirely done by hand. From the spinning of the thread to the weaving of the fabric, every detail is meticulously crafted. Hand spinning, a skill passed down from mother to daughter, provides additional income for rural women who spin in their homes during their free time. Sabahar purchases hand-spun cotton thread from a network of women throughout Addis Ababa, supporting these women and honoring the tradition of hand spinning.

In Ethiopia, hand weaving has been a way of life for centuries. Almost all traditional Ethiopian clothing is made on hand looms, and the art of weaving is passed down from father to son. Sabahar recognizes and celebrates the expertise of these male weavers, who produce one to three scarves per day depending on the level of detail of the design. While the techniques of weaving have remained largely unchanged for centuries, the patterns, colors, and designs continue to evolve, resulting in increasingly sophisticated textiles.

At Sabahar, the focus is on preserving the heritage of Ethiopian weaving while creating sustainable economic opportunities for local artisans. The result is exquisite, one-of-a-kind textiles that are both beautiful and ethical.
